Mr. Tomoo Machiba

Senior Policy Analyst, Structural Policy Division, OECD Directorate for Science, Technology and Industry.

Tomoo Machiba is Senior Policy Analyst at the Structural Policy Division in the OECD Directorate for Science, Technology and Industry (DSTI) since 2008. He is managing the Project on Sustainable Manufacturing & Eco-innovation and co-ordinating DSTI's contributions to the forthcoming OECD Green Growth Strategy. Prior to joining the OECD, he was involved in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable consumption and production (SCP) for over ten years. He served as an associate for SustainAbility, a leading CSR consultancy based in London, and worked at the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), as a programme manager for technical development of the GRI Sustainability Reporting Guidelines. Most recently, he was a senior consultant to the UNEP/Wuppertal Institute Collaborating Centre on SCP in Germany, working for the UN Marrakech Process on SCP. He holds a MPhil in development studies from the University of Sussex, UK.
